It has been about 6 months. I guess ~life~ got busy, and I don't think blogging will ever be a priority for me. But I do enjoy rambling on, so hey ho.
A lot has changed in the world of my hair. So enjoy this quick rundown if you like - beware lots of crappy quality pictures of hair below:
After finally getting my hair back to blonde, realising it was boring and i was bored I decided to go for an old favourite of pink. I know my roots, and under layer and singular splotch here are Bordeaux by Crazy Colours (One of the most pigmented pink/red dyes of all time and a forever favourite. You will see more bordeaux as you scroll) but I don't remember the paler pink that I used.
so far, so cute right? oh boooooooy does it get worse. Around this time, I went to visit Sarah (Sarah_lovestea, from Style Sixteen in Stevenage who is a hair goddess) and she did this to me.
soz for full on selfie, it is the only photo that I had. I needed something new. This lead to a high point with this purple :
not sorry for this selfie because DAMN. This was an instant favourite, and a couple of washes later it was still cute as a more pastel purple:
but then we hit a low point. As the purple washed out, and the snow started falling we ended up with this.
These are the only 2 photos that I took, because I HATED it. Objectively, it's not the worst green in the world, it is quite minty and even but UGH after all the work I put in to get it blonde before this was an absolute disaster. But I hated what I did next even more.
I call this 'Panic red' because I took panic at the green and tried to go ginger to cover it. With such bleached hair, the orange I used (which I honestly cannot remember the brand) took in an exuberant way. I used to love ginger/red hair, it was my comfort zone but apparently not anymore because I couldn't even recognise myself. Red being one of the hardest colours to shift, I was pretty sure I had screwed myself for good until the next time I could get into the Salon.
I could only see one way out. Bring on the Bordeaux... I faded the red
as best as I could using a charcoal shampoo and hot water, over the
course of about a week (sorry no photos, it was a little lighter than
above though!) and then whacked 2 tubes of Bordeaux over it. When you
first put the Bordeaux on, the first week or so is so dark, and a proper
burgundy red, but it quickly settles into a gorgeous vibrant pink
which LASTS. I was able to leave my hair alone for over a month, no
dying needed. It was for all intents and purposes, a god darn miracle.
I think I have spammed you with enough images to last 1 post. Please see my next post for the big change. (Think short!)
